copy tapes between drivers

Hello folks,

 I want a solution to move backup already taken to tape autoloader LTO3 to new Autoloader LTO6

my solution is to connect the LTO3 & LTO6 Autoloader to the symantic backup exec and configure boh drives then copy from tape LTO3 to New tape LTO6 ( tape to tape backup )

is that applicable and how can i be sure that i can restore from the LTO6 media

I am using HP autoloader 1/8 G2 LTO3 and another one LTO6.
