Hi Forum,
first of all I'm new in this forum. I have the following set: I Use Backup Exec 2010 on a Windows SBS Server 2003. I have a NAS connected to this Server via iSCSI and mounted a 1.2 TB volume as "local" drive to the Server and created there my B2D Folders. I created 4 Jobs (System, Filesystem, SQL and Exchange) with the corresponding Templates first the Backup Job to the B2D Folder then the duplicate Job to the Tape. In my Server there is only a Single Tape Drive so here is my Problem:
The Backup to Disk Job runs from Monday to Friday with 3 days overwrite Protection. I have to be sure that only the LAST B2D Job will be duplicated to the Tape. In case of for example a regular holiday nobody will insert a new tape - so the Disk to Tape Job will fail. The next day the Disk to Tape Job will try to copy the last 2 Backup to Disk Jobs, because the yesterday job was not made. This behaviour multiplicates with every missed successfull copy, so is it possible to copy only the LAST backup to Disk
Thx for the help,
Chris
