can we run Enterprise Vault Closed and Open partition backup simultaneously

Hello All,

Can we run Enterprise vault closed and  open partition backup simultaneously however in two separate agent based  backup policies. From what I understand closed partition backup does not place EV in backup mode however open partition backup does though I'm not sure if this is relevant or not.
