I am having alot of issues getting my 2014 GRT restores to work. The server that the BE master is on a Windows 2008 and the client in a Windows 2003.
When I install the agent and set up a regular backup and restore everything works great.
When I set up a backup through the ESX host of a VM, it also works fine does the snap as per normal, but it then creates another host with same name but adds a "B" on the end(hostnameB).
When I go into the server through the BE admin console of the ESX host, I see the vmdk to restore, which is fine.
I then go into the hostnameB VM client and I can see the folders and files, when I try to do a restore the job fails.
At first it gave me error code "E000846A" which complains about the windows agent not being installed, which it is installed. So I figured the server knows
nothing about client with a "B" on the end, so I edited the host file and put in the ip and hostnameB.
I ran a restore again and got a different error "E000848C", which complains about attaching resources. Thinking that a drive or tape or something is not there anymore, which I dont understand and if there was a resource issue then the regular file system backups should also fail.
Any ideas of what is going on here?
Thank you
