BE2014 - Sharepoint-Unable to Query Team database meta data

Hello,

I'm trying to backup a Sharepoint Farm in BE2014. I recieve a "Unable to Query Team Database meta data error.  I read several articles for this error for BE2010 as well as BE2012. Said to "deselect the Workflow service Application Proxy" in BE2012 as there is no resolution or plans to fix.  Has there been a fix for this error in BE2014 or a better workaround than just unselecting the item?
