Backup Exec 2010 parallel backup and about VM's

Hi Experts,

I have 2 questions about BE 2010

Is it possible for BE 2010 to do parallel backup to DISK and TAPE? how? 

Also, based on average, what is the backup rate of BE 2010 for VM's? cause one of our client is having an issue why is it that when they backup their VM's it took so long (beyond their backup window). Please post links or documents if there are any possible solutions for this problem.

If there are other topics that are same with mine, please do post them. I'm willing to read those.
