Well they don't have Windows 2012 on here yet as a choice.
I have a customer with a all new setup.
Windows 2012 server hosting a Exchange (2010) and a DB server on that server via Hyper V.
Both exchange and DB server are also windows 2012.
They have backup exec. 2014 that I have patched up due to this error so that is all done along with newest agent pushed to servers.
What they are getting for just the exchange backup is .... The VSS writer failed but the operation can be retried .. State:Failed during freeze operation
I found a article that mentioned anti-virus and I had the customer who has Symantec cloud setup a exception for the backup exec. folder and he did that.
The next backup succeeded and we thought we had it fixed.
But over the last week it had worked 50% of the time and failed the other 50% still with the error mentioned above.
The writers on both the backup and exchange server on not in any error state all are good.
So looking for other idea's?
