Vmware Backup Recommendation - Media Server

Hi all,

I've done some testing with regards to the vmware backup feature and have had good results (compared to our current software: vRanger).

I'm now in the midst of planning to replace vRanger and was wondering if most of you dedicate an entire media server to handle VM bacukps. I know this of course depends on many factors, but, my gut is telling me to provision a media server just for this purpose. We backup about 240 VM's (C:\ only) currently and the daa drives are backed up with standard netbackup agent.  I'd like to be able to backup all VM disks but currently, we have a lot of RDM's to account for.
