I need a solution
In upgrading from 2012 to 2014, Symantec has taken away the ability to have different logn credentials for various databases on a server. It now will only take the server login account for authentication for SQL databases. We were told that this was a Micrsoft required change which we don't believe is correct as Microsoft SQL authentication vs active directory autentication to the server in their own products such as Microsoft Dynamics. You have to be able to select different login accounts for the server you are backing up and the SQL databases on that server. We will be investigating CommVault at VMWorld. If anyone has any feedback on this issue, please post.
