Is Bare Metal restore possible when using software raid?

Hi,

I had someone ask me if it was possible to do a bare metal restore when software raid was used on a Linux machine. Usually I stick with Hardware raid, but in this particular instance I may not have a choice.

So if I do a bare metal restore with two similar disks will it work?

Let's say we're running

• raid 1
• 2 disks
• Ubuntu OS on the client
